Mental health nursing, also known as psychiatric nursing, is a specialized field within the nursing profession. It focuses on the care of individuals with mental health conditions, psychological disorders, and emotional difficulties. Mental health nurses work in a variety of settings, including hospitals, community health centers, and private practices, and residential facilities. Mental health nurses play a crucial role in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health conditions.

Aims
- To prepare the students to identify the normal and abnormal mental health
- To find out the deviation from the normal activities to enhance the comprehensive nursing care to mentally ill client affect from various mental disorders.
- To incorporate nursing process application in the clinical areas.
